How it all started
The scent of vanilla and orange poured out of grandma’s kitchen. The pure and fresh ingredients were kneaded by experienced hand, the pastries were sprinkled with sesame seeds, baked and immersed in syrup… The authentic traditional recipe has been trusted to the next generation and the “fiogaki” of the town of Drama has locked in aromas that awaken memories from our childhood. Siouta’s bakery has been baking quality products with pure ingredients and lots of love since 1979. “Fiogaki” stands out as it has become the favourite dessert of our local community. Made with carefully selected ingredients, they deserve the title of traditional local product of the prefecture of Drama.
“Fiogaki” are a sweet treat for every moment of the day. At breakfast, they accompany each type of drink and “arm” your body with the necessary energy. They can also be served in a brunch as a sweet dessert. It is a ideal snack to take at school, work or a day out.
They can take their place next to the salty treats in an afternoon call for tea and ” steal the show”, with nothing to envy from the other traditional sweets at a festive table. It maches harmonically and delightfully with pralines, ice cream or mastic and its flavor takes off when accompanies cream and jam with citrus aroma.
